    USER-SPECIFIC PROFILE PAGE BACKGROUND


    Overview

    Description

    Following the steps in this tutorial, you will learn how to apply a color or image background to a specific PunBB user's profile page.

    Technical limitations

    › This tutorial is dedicated to the forums powered by Forumotion free forum service
    › Requires to be the Founder of the #Forumotion Forum
    › It only works with PunBB.

    Installation

    Adding the code

    Add the following code to all your pages.

    You need to reply to the topic in order to see the code resources



    Altering the code

    Specifying which user to give a background

    In the code you pasted, replace
    Code:
    /u1
    with the user ID of the user you wish to have a profile background. You can find the user ID by clicking on a user's profile and checking which number the profile URL ends with ("u321", for instance).

    Specifying the background

    If you wish to have a image background, replace
    Code:
    MY IMAGE HERE"
    with the URL of the image you intend to use.

    If you wish to have a colored background, replace
    Code:
    background: url("MY IMAGE HERE")
    with
    Code:
    background-color: COLOR
    , where COLOR is whatever color you wish to use. You can use a color picker to find your favorite color.

    Final considerations

    Remember to repeat the steps for any new user you want to apply a background to.
