    CHANGE TOPIC AND FORUM ICONS FOR AwesomeBB



    Overview

    Description

    AwesomeBB by default doesn't allow change of forum and topic icons as previous Forumotion versions have. This tutorial will allow you to change that :)

    Technical limitations

    › This tutorial is dedicated to the forums powered by Forumotion free forum service
    › It only works with AwesomeBB Forumotion forum version

    Installation

    Introduction

    Tutorial is streight forward and reqiures script creation and edit.

    Javascript & jQuery

    For the next step you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP)   Modules HTML & Javascript Javascript codes management and create a new code - upon verifying that Javascript codes management is enabled.

    • Title: Change topic and forum icons [AwesomeBB]
    • Where: In all the pages
    • Code:

      You need to reply to the topic in order to see the code resources




    Javascript Customization

    Images placed in script are default one from phpBB2 version but you can add yours by changing values of variables.
    In the script you will see variables for forums and topics. Forum icons have prefix f_ while topic icons have prefix t_ . Variable names are self-descriptive so you can alter values for images very easy.


    Final considerations

    I believe this will be of great use to all those who want modern design AwesomeBB version offers but have issues with limitations that comes with it.
    In case some icons do not show, please let me know in the comment section and be descriptive of the problem.
