    Overview

    Description

    As in the dice we can define a user who posts every time someone makes a roll, with this tutorial we will learn to do that but, instead of the dice, every time someone makes a post or answer in our forum.

    › Requires to be the Founder of the #Forumotion Forum
    › It works with PunBB and PhpBB2 Forumotion forums' versions

    Installation


    HTML Content & Templates Modification

    For the last step you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP) Display Templates General - viewtopic_body and modify its content:

    Final considerations

    To modify the message that the bot will post automatically, we must go to the viewtopic_body template and locate this part, where you can change that data:

    You need to reply to the topic in order to see the code resources



    What uses can this bot have?

    - We can use it to automatically inform our members about something important that happened in the forum.
    -You can change the "Warning Bot" range to whatever you want.
    -You can also modify even the avatar, registration date and rank.
    -The avatar can be changed by modifying the URL https://i.imgur.com/wbIOt.png by the URL of the avatar that we want to put on it.
    -One of the interesting things about this bot is that it will serve to call the attention of our members on what we want, because the post will appear as soon as our users post in a topic or make a post, it will always appear in the last answer, so Therefore, it is impossible for them not to see the message.
    -If we have HTML activated in our forum, we can even make the bot generate messages with its own tables etc.
