          Yeah thats what I mean. I've seen this on other forums aswell but could not find any tutorial on it on any other forum  thanks

            First, add this javascript code:

            $(document).ready(function(){$('img[src="IMGLINK"]').replaceWith('<span class="ipsBadge ipsBadge_orange reset_cursor">New</span>')});

            and replace IMGLINK with the image set in the administration control panel for new topics in forums


            now, go to the template index_box, find and remove:

            <img title="{catrow.forumrow.L_FORUM_FOLDER_ALT}" src="{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG}" alt="{catrow.forumrow.L_FORUM_FOLDER_ALT}" style="padding-top: 7px;" />

            now find:

            </h{catrow.forumrow.LEVEL}>

            and add this code before of that:
