    Dear members,

    the positioning of Javascript and jQuery codes may depend on the type of platform/board you are referring to and on which you are hosting your community.

    In order to support you, in this topic we collect the most frequent boards that we dealt with. Of course if you need support for a board not on the list, feel free to contact a Team member and we will update this list.

    Forumotion forums

    Custom suggested position (plain-text code)

    For your Forumotion forum, Javascript codes can be mainly managed from Administration control panel (ACP) ► Modules ► HTML & Javascript ► Javascript codes management

    It is important that you check that the option Enable Javascript code management is set on Yes, otherwise any code added will not work.

    If you have a javascript link instead of the plain text (Javascript link)

    If you have a link ending with
    Code:
    .js
    instead of the content of the script, you can copy/paste and refer to point 1.1 - or eventually you can go to Administration control panel (ACP) ► General ► Forum promotion ► Search engines

    You will simply have to
    1. add a new meta tag clicking on the
    2. Select Link javascript from the Add type option
    3. Provide the javascript link into the src attribute field

    Alternative positions

    Javascript codes can also be added manually in positions where HTML codes are supported, for example the index message or your templates. To do it in this scenario, you will have to include the code into some dedicated html tags:

    Website with file manager (plain-text editor)

    In this scenario, you will have to manually create a file with the extension

    .js
    and place the content of the code.

    After doing that, you will have to include the javascript code in your pages using the following code and replacing

    with the one of the newly created

    .js
    file
