    Overview

    Description

    Depending on the brightness of the room we're writing in, we might get the password wrong. With this tutorial you will learn how to add a field that will allow you to show your password and thus verify any errors.

    › This tutorial is available to be used on all forum and website softwares, upon eventual adaptation
    › It works with all Forumotion forums' versions

    Installation

    Javascript & jQuery

    For the next step you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP) Modules HTML & Javascript Javascript codes management and create a new code - upon verifying that Javascript codes management is enabled.

    Javascript customization

    In order to adapt the code to your own software you have to modify two variables:
    • Code:
      $('label[for="autologin"], .block-login label.label, .gen input[name="autologin"]')
      defines the position by html element after which showing the checkbox to show the password;
    • Code:
      var txtPassword = $('input[type="password"]');
      defines the html element that contains the password to show
