    This tutorial will help you to to make users choose the color of their profile from their profile fields.

    Technical limitations

    › This tutorial is dedicated to the forums powered by Forumotion free forum service
    › It only works with PhpBB3/PhpBB2/AwesomeBB/ModernBB Forumotion forums' versions
    › Forums running PhpBB2 also require to be the founder with access to templates

    Installation

    Introduction

    This modification applies as long as your templates have not been modified significantly.

    CSS

    In order to design the style of the resource, you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP) Display CSS & Colors CSS Style Sheet and add append the following code:

    Javascript & jQuery

    For the next step you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP) Modules HTML & Javascript Javascript codes management and create a new code - upon verifying that Javascript codes management is enabled.

    Profile settings

    Then, you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP) Users & Groups Profiles Add a new field following these settings:

    1. General information
      • Type : Images list
      • Name: as you like
      • Description : as you like
      • URL icon : leave it blank
      • Necessarily filled ?: as you like
      • Display : Profile + Messages
      • Display type : Icon or Icon + Text
      • Who can modify the profile field value ? Moderators + Member himself
      • Display this field for users that are at least : Guests
      • Separator : as you like

          I don't know how to edit the previous message, anyway it doesn't work on my forum, i'm using awesomebb, i used the css code for awesomebb, the javascript code for awesomebb and i added the profile section with relative colors, but when i change color it stays always grey
