    With this simple Javascript, you can change the background color for each category in your forum.

    Technical limitations

    › This tutorial is dedicated to the forums powered by Forumotion free forum service
    › Requires to be the Founder of the #Forumotion Forum
    › It only works with PhpBB3.

    Installation

    Introduction

    Would you like to know how some support forums have a different color for each category? Well here you will know the code they use

    Javascript & jQuery

    For the next step you need to go towards Administration Control Panel (ACP)   Modules HTML & Javascript Javascript codes management and create a new code - upon verifying that Javascript codes management is enabled.

    • Title: free choice - does not influence the code effect
    • Where: In All pages.

      You need to reply to the topic in order to see the code resources




    Javascript Customization

    As i said before, the "eq(0,1,2)" corresponds a index number withe category order.

    Starting with the first is 0, the second is 1, the third is 2, etc.

    Final considerations

    Enjoy having more colorful categories.
